After acquiring the No. 16 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft through a trade with Orlando, the Memphis Grizzlies are actively evaluating potential players to select with that pick.
On Friday, they brought in Asa Newell from Georgia for a pre-draft workout, according to Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Alongside Newell, several other prospects also took part in the workout session, including Earl Timberlake from Bryant, Jahmyl Telfort from Butler, Jordan Gainey from Tennessee, and Obinna Anochili-Killen from Marshall, Cole reports.
This gathering allowed the Grizzlies to get a firsthand look at the skills and potential of these players ahead of the draft, helping them make a more informed decision about who to pick at No. 16.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is looking forward to playing in Memphis, plus more from the Southwest Division. https://t.co/fZ9ZERrRzi
