Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac has made a successful return to regular play after a long and challenging journey back to full health.
His perseverance has now been rewarded with a significant financial boost.
Isaac earned a $2.6 million bonus on Friday after appearing in his 70th game of the regular season.
This performance triggered an increase in his salary for the season, raising it from $25 million to $27.6 million.
As part of the renegotiation and extension of Isaac’s contract, the Magic initially set his base salary at $25 million, with the potential to earn an additional $2.6 million through the bonus.
Looking ahead, Isaac’s contract does not include bonuses based on games played in future seasons.
However, it does contain guarantee triggers for the final three years, which are contingent on the number of games he plays in the preceding season.
