Bradley Beal is set to miss at least one week after suffering a left hamstring injury, head coach Mike Budenholzer confirmed.
The Phoenix Suns guard underwent an MRI on Monday, which revealed the extent of the injury sustained during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
“He had an MRI today, and we’ll be hopeful that this next week goes well, and re-evaluate him then,” Budenholzer stated, indicating that Beal’s status will be reassessed after his initial recovery period.
In Beal’s absence, Collin Gillespie stepped into the starting lineup for the Suns on Monday, helping the team secure a dominant 129-89 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
The Suns will look to manage without Beal as they navigate the next stretch of games, hoping for a smooth recovery and his return to the lineup soon.
