Despite a disappointing 2-11 start to the 2024-25 season, the Philadelphia 76ers are not currently discussing any changes to the roles of head coach Nick Nurse or president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, according to sources cited by The Athletic.

The organization remains focused on assessing the team’s full potential once their core players – Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George – are able to share the court together.

Injuries and absences have thus far prevented the trio from playing simultaneously, leaving the Sixers hesitant to make any major decisions until they see the roster at full strength.

Nick Nurse, who was hired in 2023 to succeed Doc Rivers as head coach, is still in the early stages of implementing his system with the team.

Meanwhile, Daryl Morey, who took over the front office in November 2020, signed a contract extension through the 2027-28 season last December, solidifying his role in the franchise’s long-term vision.

The Sixers’ leadership appears committed to giving their current structure time to develop and to observe how the team performs once key players are healthy and available, suggesting that patience remains a priority despite the rocky start.
