The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly expected to spend part of the offseason reviewing the futures of president of basketball operations Daryl Morey and head coach Nick Nurse following the team’s playoff elimination, according to Tony Jones.
League sources told The Athletic that both Morey and Nurse are expected to undergo evaluation as ownership determines the direction of the franchise moving forward.
“The jobs of Morey and head coach Nick Nurse are expected to be evaluated entering the offseason, multiple league sources told The Athletic.”
Despite the speculation surrounding both positions, no final decisions have reportedly been made at this point.
Team sources indicated that ownership plans to take additional time after the season before deciding whether any major organizational changes will take place.
“As of Sunday’s elimination, team sources said ownership has not made final decisions on either and is likely to take a few days to assess before making any major calls.”
