Immanuel Quickley has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his left elbow. The injury took place during the fourth quarter of the Toronto Raptors’ defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. Quickley will undergo a reevaluation in a week to assess the severity of the injury and determine the next steps for his recovery.

So far this season, Quickley has played in three games, averaging 15.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 22.5 minutes per game. His performance has been a key part of the Raptors’ rotation early in the season.

Quickley, who joined the Raptors this past offseason, signed a significant five-year, $175 million contract, marking a major milestone in his career. The injury raises concerns for both Quickley and the team, as they look to manage his recovery and maintain his impact on the court.
