Luka Samanic has left the NBA to join Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the EuroLeague.

The Croatian forward signed a two-year deal with the Turkish club.

Samanic, 24, averaged 4.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 43 games for the Utah Jazz last season.

This was his second season with the Jazz after joining the team in 2022.

Samanic began his professional career with FC Barcelona B in the 2017-18 season.

He then played for Petrol Olimpija in the 2018-19 season before moving to the NBA.

Selected 19th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2019 NBA Draft, Samanic played two seasons with the Spurs.

Samanic also played for the Austin Spurs, San Antonio’s G League affiliate, during his time with the Spurs.

He then played in the G League for the Westchester Knicks in 2021-22 and the Maine Celtics in 2022-23.

After another season with the Jazz, he opted to return to Europe.
