Olimpia Milano has signed David McCormack, a 2.08-meter center from Galatasaray Istanbul, to bolster their roster.
“I’m excited to join a traditionally winning club and learn from more experienced teammates and a highly reputed coach,” McCormack said.
He added, “I will do everything needed to help the team continue to win.”
McCormack grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, attending Norfolk Academy and Oak Hill Academy.
During his senior year at Oak Hill, the team finished with a 30-4 record, winning the state title.
In 2018, he joined the University of Kansas, playing 132 games over four years, with 96 starts.
In his senior year, he averaged 10.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, leading Kansas to an NCAA title.
In the 2022-23 season, McCormack played for Besiktas, averaging 9.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
He then moved to Darussafaka and Galatasaray during the 2023-24 season, averaging 14.2 points and 7.2 rebounds with impressive shooting percentages.
