The Los Angeles Clippers have offered Cam Christie an opportunity to remain with the franchise on a two-way contract after waiving the 21-year-old guard, Jake Fischer reported in The Stein Line on Thursday, October 15.

Christie was released ahead of a $2.30 million salary guarantee deadline, according to league sources cited by HoopsHype. The proposed two-way arrangement would give the Clippers a route to retain the former second-round pick without keeping his previous standard contract.

Christie appeared in 55 NBA games for the Clippers during the 2025-26 season, averaging 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 8.7 minutes per game. He shot 38.1% from the field and 24.5% from three-point range.

The guard also spent time with the Ontario Clippers in the G League. In 40 appearances during the 2024-25 season, he averaged 16.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 31.2 minutes per game, shooting 40.2% from the field.

Los Angeles selected Christie with the 46th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft after his freshman season at Minnesota, where he averaged 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 35 games.

The proposed arrangement comes as Los Angeles reshapes its roster around Darius Garland, Brandon Ingram and 2026 fifth overall pick Keaton Wagler following Kawhi Leonard’s trade to Toronto.

The Clippers have added several players during the transition, including Rui Hachimura, Bradley Beal and Max Strus, while developing younger options such as Christie. A two-way contract would allow the franchise to keep the guard in its system while preserving a standard roster spot.
