In the Western Conference finals series, the Minnesota Timberwolves managed to secure their first win against the Dallas Mavericks, extending the series to Game 5 in Minneapolis.

Despite facing a 3-1 deficit, Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels remains optimistic, suggesting that it was his team’s errors rather than the Mavericks’ dominance that led to their losses.

Reflecting on the series, McDaniels emphasized that only in Game 3 did the Mavericks convincingly outplay the Timberwolves, attributing previous defeats to missed opportunities and self-inflicted mistakes.

“The only game they really beat us was the last game. The rest of them were close and our mistakes let us lose…we can probably run off 3 more now,” he said.

Throughout the tightly contested series, the Timberwolves have consistently challenged the Mavericks, with each game showcasing minimal differentials in scores. Thus far, the winning margins have been 3, 1, 9 and 5 points.
