As the Los Angeles Lakers continue their search for a new head coach, JJ Redick emerges as a frontrunner for the position, with plans to target Sam Cassell, James Borrego, and Jared Dudley for his coaching staff.

Redick, a former NBA player, is considered a top candidate to replace the recently fired Darvin Ham.

Cassell, currently an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics, and Borrego, serving as an assistant coach with the New Orleans Pelicans, are among the candidates for the Lakers vacancy.

According to Marc Stein’s report on Substack, Redick intends to pursue Cassell, Borrego, and Dudley for his coaching staff if appointed as the Lakers head coach.

Dudley, a former Lakers player and current assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks, is expected to be a key target for Redick.
