Luka Doncic praised Kyrie Irving’s clutch performance after leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 116-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals.

Doncic and Irving combined for 66 points, orchestrating a decisive 14-3 run in the final minutes of the game. Irving’s standout performance in the fourth quarter earned him the nickname “Mr. 4th Quarter.”

“It’s unbelievable. That’s why they call him Mr. 4th quarter, right? It’s just amazing. He scored what? 33? And how many he scored in the fourth? Well, felt like 20. It’s amazing. He’s born for this situation. He’s born for the clutch situation, so we just give the ball to him,” Doncic said.

The Mavericks’ victory gives them a commanding 3-0 lead in the series, putting them on the brink of their first NBA Finals appearance in 13 years.

Irving’s ability to shine in clutch moments has been a defining factor in the Mavericks’ success throughout the playoffs.
