George Karl, former NBA coach, took to X to troll Los Angeles Lakers fans after the Denver Nuggets’ elimination.

Following the Nuggets’ Game 7 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinals, Karl voiced his frustrations online.

“Wow what a meltdown for the Nuggets. Three home losses and a 45 point blowout in one series! Will be interesting to see what happens in their offseason. But hey at least they’re not the Lakers, whose trolls and minions are celebrating tonight like their team is a contender,” Karl tweeted.

This tweet was part of a series where Karl mocked Lakers fans and reflected on the Nuggets’ season.

“Been especially rooting for the Nuggets the past couple years. Always hard to see a season end but the team is still in a window to win a couple more 💍💍s. And Nuggets fans should go to bed tonight with great memories like this one in your mind – lots to celebrate still!!” Karl tweeted, sharing a photo of Jamal Murray’s game-winner over Anthony Davis from Game 2 the first-round series.

Karl’s tweets followed backlash from Lakers fans over his previous comments about LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“I’m torn right now. Should I keep having fun upsetting the Lakers fan base or should I spend my time on more productive things than getting a mediocre team’s angry and hateful trolls all riled up?!” Karl tweeted.
