Sports analyst Chris Broussard believes the Boston Celtics must win the championship for this to be a successful season.

The Celtics have reached their sixth conference finals in the last eight years. Despite their frequent appearances, they have advanced to the NBA Finals only once in this period, losing to the Golden State Warriors in 2022.

This year, the Celtics will face the No. 7 seed Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Broussard thinks losing to the Pacers would be a disaster for the Celtics.

“They have to win the championship for this to be a successful season,” Broussard said on First Things First.

Even if Boston prevails against Indiana, Broussard insists that the Celtics must win the championship to consider the season successful.

“If they don’t win a championship now, you probably have to make a major trade, probably Jaylen Brown or something,” Broussard suggested.
