Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards shared his reaction to Nikola Jokic’s outstanding performance in Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets.

Jokic’s MVP-caliber display, which included 40 points and 13 assists, propelled the Nuggets to a commanding 112-97 victory over the Timberwolves, putting them one step closer to the Western Conference finals.

Despite his own impressive performances earlier in the series, Edwards expressed admiration for Jokic’s skills, acknowledging him as the best player in the NBA.

Reflecting on Jokic’s dominance, Edwards admitted to feeling a sense of disbelief, noting that all he could do was laugh at the Nuggets star’s remarkable abilities.

“I just laugh. That’s all I can do. I can’t be mad. … He’s the MVP. He’s the best player in the NBA. He showed it the last three games. … He was special tonight. I have to give him his flowers. He was that guy,” Edwards said, via Ben Golliver.

With the series now shifting back to Minnesota for Game 6, Edwards and the Timberwolves face a crucial game as they seek to keep their postseason hopes alive.
