Pelicans could pursue Donovan Mitchell

On the latest episode of The Lowe Post podcast, ESPN’s Zach Lowe discussed potential teams interested in trading Donovan Mitchell if he declines an extension. If Mitchell opts out, the Cleveland Cavaliers might trade him before his 2025 free agency.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and Brooklyn Nets are usual suspects, but the Houston Rockets could also be in the mix. Lowe mentioned the New Orleans Pelicans as a team to watch.

With Brandon Ingram entering his contract’s final year and potentially seeking a max deal, the Pelicans and Cavs could be natural trade partners due to their complementary needs.
