Anthony Edwards expressed his frustration following the Minnesota Timberwolves’ 108-105 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, stating, “Everything was on us today.”

Edwards admitted the Timberwolves had inconsistent energy, saying, “I think we just came out flat today. And then we found our energy. Then we went back to being flat. So I think it was just on us, everything was on us today.”

He acknowledged his struggles in attacking the basket, adding, “I didn’t get downhill as much. Yeah, just stuff like that. We was just a little tired probably.”

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving led the Mavericks to victory, combining for 63 points. P.J. Washington (13 points) and Daniel Gafford (10 points) were the only other Mavs to score in double-digits.

Edwards had 19 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists but struggled with consistency. The All-Star guard was 6-for-16 from the field and 5-for-12 from beyond the arc.
