Los Angeles Lakers fans received a glimmer of hope as NBA insider Shams Charania delivered a positive update on Anthony Davis’ eye injury, offering reassurance ahead of the team’s next game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Charania revealed on FanDuelTV’s Run It Back that while Davis is listed as questionable for the upcoming matchup, there is optimism surrounding his availability, with signs of improvement in his vision over the past 24 hours.

“Anthony Davis is listed questionable to play tonight against the Hawks, I’m told there is optimism he’ll be able to play, he’s been able to regain his vision over the last 24 hours,” Charania said.

Davis, a pivotal figure for the Lakers, suffered an eye contusion during the team’s recent game against the Golden State Warriors, forcing him to exit the contest prematurely.

The All-Star center’s absence was keenly felt as the Lakers faltered against the Warriors, highlighting Davis’ significance to the team’s performance.

This season Davis is averaging 24.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 35.6 minutes per game.
