The New Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas expressed his fondness for his former teammate Willy Hernangomez, mentioning how much he misses him and wishing him the best as he performs well for Barcelona.
“I miss him,” Valanciunas said. “He was a tremendous boy with tremendous energy, a good boy. We always spent time together, so I miss him. I wish him the best, he is playing well now in Barcelona.”
However, when asked about the possibility of joining Barcelona himself, he humorously declined, stating that he couldn’t take Hernangomez’s place and jokingly referred to himself as a “good boy” who wouldn’t want to hurt his friend.
