The Toronto Raptors have bolstered their backcourt by signing guard DJ Carton to a 10-day contract, as confirmed by NBA insider Shams Charania.

Carton, currently with the NBA G League’s Iowa Wolves, joins the Raptors after showcasing his talent with averages of 18.6 points and 5.7 assists per game this season.

Despite going undrafted in 2021, the 23-year-old point guard has persevered, previously signing brief stints with the Charlotte Hornets and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Carton’s journey to the NBA has seen him navigate through various opportunities, including G League stints, in pursuit of his dream to compete at the highest level. He is yet to play in an NBA game.
