According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Mavericks are actively exploring potential signings in the free agency market, with Kelly Oubre Jr. and Derrick Jones Jr. emerging as potential targets for the team, as per league sources.

Oubre Jr., who spent the previous season with the Hornets, could be on his way out due to the team’s recent acquisition of young forward Brandon Miller in the draft.

The 27-year-old shooting guard, who averaged a career-best 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, has become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Meanwhile, Derrick Jones Jr., a versatile small forward, is also available on the open market after his tenure with the Bulls. The 26-year-old averaged 5 points and 2.4 rebounds in limited playing time during the 2022-23 season.
