After a disappointing end of season, the Mavericks have an important task this summer – to further upgrade the team around Luka Doncic to enable it to compete for a championship.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports that Dallas is interested in Celtics power forward Grant Williams and Kings small forward Harrison Barnes.

Williams is a restricted free agent. As noted by Scotto, he is represented by the sae agency as Doncic. This past season he averaged 8.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 25.9 minutes per game.

Barnes has previously played for the Mavs for two and a half years before getting traded to Sacramento. He averaged 15 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 32.5 minutes per game last season.
