Lakers guard Austin Reaves is about to get a signature shoe AR1. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the player is finalizing a deal with Chinese company Rigorer.
“Honestly, blessed,” Reaves said when asked by Charania how he feels about getting a signature shoe. “Like I said earlier, if you had told me that I’d have a signature shoe at 18, I’d have looked at you and called you a liar.
“There’s probably twenty-some people in the NBA that have a signature shoe. Honestly, I’m blessed to play basketball for a living I have to pinch myself sometimes to really understand what’s going on.”
This past season Reaves averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 28.8 minutes per game. He is wanted by both Germany and now United States national teams.
