According to a report by Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, there is a growing belief among league executives that Khris Middleton will remain with the Bucks on a long-term agreement. Despite rumors of interest from other teams, Middleton’s inclusion in discussions regarding the team’s coaching search strongly indicates a mutual desire to keep the All-Star guard alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

While Middleton has been mentioned as a potential target for the Rockets in free agency, recent developments point to a high likelihood of him staying in Milwaukee. The 31-year-old still has one more year remaining on his contract, which includes a player option that he can exercise until June 21.

As a key starter for the team, Middleton has consistently showcased his scoring ability, playmaking skills, and defensive prowess throughout his tenure in Milwaukee. This past season, he averaged 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 24.3 minutes per game.

While Middleton’s future with the Bucks appears promising, another key Milwaukee starter, Brook Lopez, has reportedly caught the attention of the Houston Rockets in free agency discussions. It remains to be seen how the Bucks will address Lopez’s contract situation and if they can retain his services.
