The Lakers and the Nuggets will square off in the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three years. The two teams met at this stage of the playoffs in the Orlando bubble in 2020.
Then it was Los Angeles that won the series 4-2 and went on to win the championship. Lakers superstar LeBron James says that the current Denver team is better than the one that his team faced three years ago.
“They’re a better team,” the four-time NBA champion said. “Obviously, more experienced. Every game, every postseason, every matchup allows you to continue to grow as a franchise, as a team and they’ve done that.
“We’re coming with the utmost respect for this team that we’re challenged to playing against. So, look forward to the matchup.”
