The Mavericks did not take a much needed win as they lost for the third time in a row as they fell against the Hawks in overtime (130-132).

Kyrie Irving, who led all scorers with 41 points, still saw hope for Dallas, despite being in a very complicated situation.

“We’ve just been losing tough ones. Emotionally draining,” he said after the game. “But at the same time we’re professionals. So, I think the fun part of it is we still have a glimmer of hope, a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel where we can still sneak in.

“But at the same time I’m at peace with just our effort with spurts throughout the games. We just got to be able to finish better as a team.”

The Mavs are 11th in the Western Conference and are on the brink of not even making the play-in tournament.
