This season the Kings clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 16 years. Despite sitting high in the standings (3rd place in the Western Conference), Sacramento is viewed as a welcome opponent in the playoffs by rival teams.

Lack of postseason experience plays a major part in how other teams view the Kings. For the team’s head coach Mike Brown that is completely understandable.

“If I’m another team I’m targeting us too. And we’re the only ones who can change that narrative,” Brown said, via Matt George.
