After missing four due to Achilles injury, James Harden returned to action in the game against the Mavericks. He finished the game with a double-double of 15 points and 12 assists as the 76ers won 116-108.

The 33-year-old shooting guard revealed after the game that the injury has been bothering him for months and it reached a point where it was unbearable.

“Literally, I don’t know where it came from but it’s been bothering me for some months, I would say,” Harden said. “I just wanted to continue to play on it. There was one point where, in the last game I played, it was just really unbearable, so I couldn’t even go out there. Six games left to finish the season off, finish off strong and then we get another week to prepare. I felt like tonight was the game to come back.”

This season Harden is averaging 21.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 10.8 assists in 36.9 minutes per game.
