Luka Doncic put up an impressive statline in a Christmas Day win over the Lakers (124-115). He scored team-high 32 points in addition to 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals.

Throughout the game Los Angeles was double-teaming the Slovenian superstar, but he managed to find ways to score or to create shots for his teammates.

LeBron James, who is used to being double-teamed throughout his career, was about the challenge that Doncic is facing on the defensive end.

“You’ll figure it out,” the four-time NBA champion said. “You see the same coverage over and over, and over at some point you’ll figure it out when you have a high basketball IQ, which Luka has obviously.

“And then you trust your teammates to make the right play or knock down shots which they have a lot of knock-down guys, it makes it a lot easier for you as well.

“Luka’s IQ is off the charts, so he’s going to make the adjustments for sure. And then there’re teammates, they made the adjustment as well.”
