Swingman Aaron Nesmith is currently being shelved by the Indiana Pacers due to a nagging foot injury.
Nesmith, who was acquired by the Pacers in a package that sent Malcolm Brogdon to the Boston Celtics, suffered the said injury during the team’s preseason loss against the New York Knicks last week.
Per head coach Rick Carlisle, Nesmith sustains “a plantar fascia issue” and they are uncertain if he can heal up accordingly to suit up on their season opener.
“He’ll miss some time,” Carlisle told Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files. “The hope is that there’s a possibility he could be back for the opener, but we don’t know for sure. As the days go on, we’ll have a better feel for that.”
Indiana will open their 2022-23 campaign against the Washington Wizards on Oct. 19.
