After a full 2021-22 season absence taking his time to recover from ACL surgery, Kawhi Leonard is geared up for a much-awaited return for the Los Angeles Clippers.

As such, the superstar forward will finally suit up this Monday in a preseason bout against the Portland Trail Blazers, the first time since Game 4 of the Clippers’ second-round clash against the Utah Jazz last 2021 postseason.

Leonard revealed during his team’s media day that he feels much stronger entering his season of return. From the images and video clips circulating around the internet, his body grew significantly and muscular.

“I feel stronger, yeah. I feel stronger for sure. It’s been, what, 14, 15 months of no basketball — well, playing in an NBA season for me, no basketball. That whole 13, 14-month process is just lifting, lifting weights and getting stronger. But I definitely got a lot stronger.”

Together with Paul George, John Wall, and Reggie Jackson, Leonard will sit out in Los Angeles’ preseason opener against the Maccabi Ra’anana this Friday.

Containing a deep, veteran-filled lineup, the Clippers are being assumed as one of the title contenders heading to next season.
