Real Madrid have some daylight at the top of the Liga Endesa standings after they picked up a win and Unicaja Malaga slipped up.

The Euroleague Final Four entrants saw-off Rio Monbus 85-76 in Santiago thanks to a stellar display from Mexican international Gustavo Ayon, as he poured in 18 points in victory.

Meanwhile, Unicaja Malaga were stunned 90-86 by Zaragoza on their home court as they now drop two games behind leaders Real Madrid in the standings.

Barcelona have made third spot their own as they seemingly look as though that they are preparing for the Playoffs. They disposed of Estudiantes 76-62 in Catalunya.

Alex Abrines led Barca with 16 points.

Bilbao stay fourth defeated Joventut Badalona 95-92 after overtime, as the Catalan’s slump continues.

With Joventut down 82-79, Demond Mallet stepped up with seconds left to send the game to an extra session.

But Bilbao had too much in the tank, as a three-pointer from Alex Mumbru settled proceedings with 1:27 left.

Gran Canaria comfortably beat Valencia 90-76 in Las Palmas as last season’s Eurocup winners’ hopes of a top four finish took a nasty blow.

For this season’s Eurocup runners-up though, this win moves them into the Playoff picture.

The league’s bottom two battled it out in Manresa and Bruixa d’Or emerged 68-53 victors over Fuenlabrada.

The other domestic clashes saw Andorra thrash Seville 89-65 as the league’s debutants look certain to play Liga Endesa basketball next season. Gipuzkoa edged Tenerife 77-76 at home and UCAM Murcia stunned Laboral Kutxa 85-77.
