After two injury-plagued years Anthony Davis will look to get back on track this season. Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins has high hopes for the 29-year-old forward.

“I actually got high hopes that Anthony Davis might be MVP. I think that Anthony Davis is going to come out on a mission!” Perkins told Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Bally Sports.

Last season Davis averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 35.1 minutes per game for the Lakers. Injuries limited him to just 40 regular season games.
