The Mavericks are on the brink of elimination after losing Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors. Despite being in a difficult situation now, Dallas head coach Jason Kidd is very positive about the future.

Following the Game 3 loss, he pointed at the fact that nobody expected the Mavericks to advance this far into postseason. According to him, this is a just the beginning for the team.

“This is a lot bigger than 1 game or 1 series. This is huge for our franchise,” Kidd said, per Ben Golliver. “None of you [media] guys had us here. You guys were all supposed to be on vacation… We’re going against a — you can call this a dynasty. This isn’t the end. This is just the beginning.”
