One of the most outspoken commentators around, Stephen A. Smith, shared some of his thoughts about the Brooklyn Nets star guard Kyrie Irving:
“We are witnessing one of the most delusional athletes in American history … Kyrie actually looks down on us because we want to see him play and we’re demanding that you play.”
Irving had a solid season with averages of 27.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. He also shot 46.9% from the field and 41.8% from the three-point line.
Despite being early favorites to win the NBA Championship this season, the Brooklyn Nets were swept off the opening round of the NBA playoff series by the Boston Celtics in Game 4.
