The Timberwolves started their playoff campaign with a win over the second seed the Grizzlies. Minnesota’s star Karl-Anthony Towns scored 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, which was an improvement compared to the Play-In game against the Clippers.

“I just really feel like that’s what I’m supposed to do,” Towns said after Memphis game, per Jon Krawczynski. “It shouldn’t be something we should be celebrating, like ‘Oh, you got a chance to play a really good game on a national stage. You should be really proud and excited.’ I’m supposed to do that.”

This past regular season Towns averaged 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 33.4 minutes per game.
