Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro disclosed a motivating message from teammate Jimmy Butler ahead of Game 2 against the Boston Celtics.

Butler’s text urged Herro to lead the team and emphasized the importance of making the right plays, not just focusing on scoring, particularly in playoff scenarios.

“Just before the series JB texted me to take the team and lead these guys. Just make every right play. It’s not all about scoring in the playoffs, you got to make the right play,” Herro said.

Throughout the game, Herro exemplified the principles outlined in Butler’s message, scoring 24 points and dishing out game-high 14 assists.
