Giannis Antetokounmpo met his childhood hero Allen Iverson during the All-Star Weekend in Cleveland. The two-time NBA MVP was visibly excited and opened to AI about his impact on the Greek Freak’s career.
“I started playing basketball because of YOU!!” Antetokounmpo told 76ers legend. He also remembered a documentary in which Iverson said that Michael Jordan inspired him to play basketball while for Giannis it was AI.
