The Wizards was one of the more active teams ahead of the trade deadline as they moved four players. One of them was Latvian small forward Davis Bertans who along with Spencer Dinwiddie was traded to the Mavericks for his compatriot Kristaps Porzingis.
After the trade Bertans revealed some interesting details about the situation in Washington’s locker room. According to him, the players were fighting each other for more minutes and bigger role.
It’s tough to have team chemistry when every single day, the team is basically fighting with each other about, ‘I want to get more minutes’ and ‘I want a bigger role,’” he said.
