Atlanta Hawks did not receive good news on John Collins injury update as the bigman will miss the next three games of the team. Collins was ruled out through the All-Star Game with a strained right foot.

Collins had an MRI today that revealed the extent of the injury, according to Sarah K. Spencer of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The doctors will update his status after the break.

Collins has remained productive this season after helping his team to reach the Eastern Conference Finals last year. He averages 16.8 points and 7.9 rebounds through 50 games while shooting 53.7% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range.

The dynamic forward signed a five-year, $125MM extension during the offseason. After a slow start this year, the Hawks seem to have found their groove ahead of the second part of the regular season.

Prior to their resurgence, Collins was the subject of various trade rumors throughout the year until the trade deadline. He eventually remained in Atlanta, who hopes to make another deep playoff run this postseason.
