The Los Angeles Lakers will hope to snap their five-game losing streak later today as they visit the Houston Rockets. Despite a poor recent record, Russell Westbrook says that his team nevers puts pressure on itself.

The topic of pressure came up following David Fizdale’s comments that Russ is putting too much pressure on himself, which contributes to his struggles on the court.

“For one, we never put pressure on ourselves. I think that’s something that maybe you are, the outside of our locker room is doing,” Westbrook said. “Number one, we never talk pressure as a unit.

“Number two is we focus on the things we can control and that’s our effort figuring out a way to follow our schemes throughout games. And that’s the best thing we can do right watch film when we can.

“First time we’re able to practice in a while with the Covid and different things that’s been happening with our team. So it was good to be able to do that and get some reps in with some things so. Try to find ways to bring some positives out of some of our losses.”
