Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder stunned the Los Angeles Lakers for a second time in a row.

With Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way (28 points) and making clutch plays in crunch time, the Thunder escaped with the 107-104 win from Staples Center.

Trailing by 19 in the contest, the Thunder outscored the Lakers 35-24 in the fourth quarter and sealed the deal. Russell Westbrook had the chance to force an overtime, but missed the three-pointer at the buzzer.

Westbrook (27 points), Anthony Davis (29 points) and Carmelo Anthony (21 points) combined for 77 points for the losing squad, which dropped to 5-4.

On the contrary, Oklahoma City improved to 2-6 on the table and put an end to the 17-time champions’ three-game winning streak. Their two wins this season have come against the Lakers.
