Malik Monk will be a starter for a second straight time for the Los Angeles Lakers, this time against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Monk will start in place of LeBron James, who will miss his second straight game with a sore ankle. At the same time, the young guard will have significant playing time, as the Lakers will miss several players again.

In his first start with the Lakers, Malik Monk was impressive. He had 17 points, on 6/15 shooting, in 39 minutes, helping his team defeat the Spurs in overtime (125-121).

The Lakers (2-2) will seek to extend their winning streak to three games. Meanwhile, the Thunder are still winless (0-4).
