Golden State Warriors gave an official update regarding the situation around the injury rehab of Klay Thompson and James Wiseman.

Thompson “is expected to participate in various controlled drills during training camp,” while Wiseman “will participate in individual shooting and other individual on-court activities during training camp.”

Thompson suffered a torn Achilles in November 2020 and missed the entire year. The Warriors’ superstar missed his second straight season as he recovered from a torn ACL.

Wiseman is entering the second season of his NBA career, after undergoing surgery on his right meniscus last April. During his rookie season, he appeared in 39 games, averaging 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds.

The Golden State Warriors are counting on the return of both Thompson and Wiseman, as they are hoping to make the playoffs this season, after missing the postseason for the second time in a row last year.
