Golden State Warriors have sent Klay Thompson and James Wiseman to Santa Cruz Warriors for some extra reps during their injury rehab.

The Warriors assigned both players to their G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, on Sunday afternoon. Thompson, who is recovering from a torn right Achilles tendon, has been a full participant in Warriors practice this week.

Wiseman, who tore his right meniscus back in April, still has some steps before he can fully return to team’s practice.

“Klay will be scrimmaging. James will continue his work,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said before the team’s game in Los Angeles against the Clippers, per Mercury News. “I don’t think he’s scrimmaging yet. But Klay will be doing five-on-five.”

The Warriors are expected to have Thompson back around Christmas, according to the latest reports. It’s still unclear when Wiseman will be ready to help his team.

The Warriors have been on a frantic start this season, having just two losses in the first 20 games of the season. The “Dubs” are the best team in the league and they will face the Suns on Tuesday.
