Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr needed to elaborate further on the situation around Klay Thompson and James Wiseman’s injury recoveries, as both players have yet to play for their team this season.

Speaking to reporters after the Warriors’ game against the Brooklyn Nets, Kerr said that Thompson has already started playing 5-on-5 games on his road to recovery.

Despite the good news, he added that does not mean fans will be seeing Thompson lining up alongside Curry and the rest of the Warriors any time soon.

Sophomore big James Wiseman is further behind in his rehabilitation, as he has yet to start participating in 5-on-5 training drills. The 7-foot-1 center underwent surgery last April for a torn meniscus in his right knee.

Klay Thompson and James Wiseman will continue to work towards their return as they watch Golden State continue its road trip in the East with a game against the pesky Cleveland Cavaliers.
