Real Madrid forward Usman Garuba was not a high lottery pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, which took place on Thursday.
Garuba was selected 23rd by the Houston Rockets, even though he was among the top 10-15 prospects in mock drafts.
The young forward, who currently plays for Spain in the Olympic Games, will now be waiting to see if he will have a permament place in Rockets’ roster.
If yes, then Real Madrid will earn three millions euros, which is the buy-out of his current contract, which ends in 2025.
