In a blockbuster trade on Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers have sent forward Kyle Kuzma, guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, forward/center Montrezl Harrell, and the No. 22 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft to the Washington Wizards in exchange for a 9× NBA All-Star guard Russell Westbrook and two future second-round picks.

After the news, the Lakers legend Magic Johnson took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the deal:

In his first and only season in Washington, Westbrook, 32, averaged 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 11.7 assists, although he shot just 43.9% from the floor and 31.5% from deep.
