Steve Kerr got really emotional when he talked about Klay Thompson during his appearance on 95.7 The Game’s “Damon, Ratto & Kolsky” show.

“I literally think about the first game back at Chase for Klay Thompson, and the ovation that guy is gonna get,” Kerr said. “It’s gonna be so emotional, for everybody. I can’t wait for that night because nobody deserves that more than Klay.”
Thompson is still rehabilitating from a torn Achilles tendon, which kept him sidelined for a second straight season after he missed 2020 with a torn ACL.
Kerr claimed Thompson may not be ready for the 2021/22 season opening however, his return will be sometime after that point.
“We don’t know exactly how ready he’s going to be to play on Opening Night, but we know he’ll be on the court and working towards that point,” Kerr continued. “And if it’s not Opening Night it won’t be too far after. And that is such great news for Klay, for us, obviously.”
