Brandin Podziemski is about to enter his fourth season with the Golden State Warriors.

However, many critics are still questioning the team’s direction heading into the season, especially regarding retaining the guard this offseason.

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry offered honest insights into the team’s backcourt development and what Podziemski brings to the floor.

“Same player, same talent, just he looks like he’s in better shape. He looks a little stronger, a little quicker. And then it’s about putting all those skill sets together and making, being decisive on the court when he’s out there, shooting the shots he knows he’s supposed to shoot, not turning down threes if he’s open, making the right play,” Curry said.

Despite the 104-101 loss in their first preseason against the Los Angeles Clippers, the three-point king still valued Podziemski, who has improved its decision-making as he has greater role this upcoming season.

“So, I know he’s very determined. I know I talked to him during camp, and he said he had a great summer of making sure his body was right and being more, he was durable last year, but building off of that foundation to be available for us. So, he’s obviously had a great camp, especially offensively. I want that to continue,” he added.

Podziemski dropped seven points, two assists, and two rebounds in 17 minutes in the 2026-27 preseason debut.
